I was browsing through some new apps on my phone the other day and came across this.
I've been a fan of BuzzFeed for a while, but apparently, I was the last one to find out they had an app!

Anywho, click the link...you won't regret it.
I promise.

Just a few Shiggles

Apparently bad weather was coming through, and Mama wanted to make sure I got Holly :)

Dottie is my bitch GPS and she lies. A lot.

I needed a Mountain Dew and Mama saw the opportunity to be clever

My husband lives for days when no one is home, and he doesn't have to wear pants. As referenced by the above message. And we also enjoy The Who, obviously.

She's totally praying for the wrong things!

He loves his Wah-Sings more than me, and I love Norman more than him :)

Just for Shiggles

First of all, sorry the pictures are not larger. They are obviously borrowed from the Internet, and when I try to make them larger, it jumbles everything together and becomes entirely to pixelated. So, for your convenience, I left the photos smaller - pull out your glasses!

I laugh at this on the outside, but inside, it sickens and saddens me. I'm a hard worker, my husband is a full time unemployed student, and we get no help. Not from our parents nor the government. You know how we survive on a low income? Budget, coupons, and used everything! I think those millions on welfare should try our method for about a week, then at least maybe, just maybe they would appreciate all the hard work it takes to maintain a household when you actually have to work for it and aren't given anything.

 Enough said!

This is absolutely true. Especially during this summer heat wave with temps easily reaching 105* and higher! The first time I wore a dress to work, my co-workers (men); "damn Liz, you actually look nice in a dress, you should wear them more often." I happily said if the weather continues to mirror Hell, I would be wearing dresses daily.

Sad and yet still so funny; to me, at least. What about 28 and married? Debt free? What's odd to me is that I've realized I'm no longer part of the norm. I'm 28 and kid free! When I tell people that I'm married, the first question they always ask is, "do you have kids?"
"No, we don't."
"Why not?"
"Because my husband is in school and funds are tight, and adding a baby to that would be too much stress, we are waiting."
"You wait too long and you won't be able to have kids." (WHAT???)
"I'm 28, there is plenty of time for kids later, I'm sorry that I didn't have a child when I was in high school, but I was too busy studying and preparing for college and trying to decide on a career. I'm sorry that my husband and I decided not to have kids right out of the gate, but we wanted to enjoy time together while we could."

I could continue this tangent, but I shall stop myself there.
Thanks for reading! And maybe laughing :)

Barbie and Ken: The Wedding

Let me state, these are not mine. Glamour weddings online ran this fantastic article about Barbie and Ken getting married. The photographer who documented the long-awaited nuptials was Beatrice de Guigne. I thought they were way to amusing not to share!

Daily Giggle

Growing up in Mississippi, well your options are limited to say the very least. We aren't a breeding ground for great music, and normally, not that many EPIC acts ever set foot in our state. I've seen concerts in Mississippi, and not a single one was EPIC. The best concert I ever attended was the Eagles, when I was 11 in Little Rock, AR. Let's see, concerts I've attended in Mississippi: N'SYNC, Creed, Incubus, Lynyrd Skynyrd - I feel like there's more, but this old brain of mine is giving me fits
:(

Oh and don't judge me by my concert experiences. That's just mean. I'm being honest about them. I could have lied.

Now since that is out of the way, enjoy the next few messages.

Obviously, my family is estactic about Elton John coming to Mississippi. It really is the little things in life. Or the overly dramatic, homosexual, piano playing Brit. Either or.

Tater and I ventured out to Atlanta before he starts to school to visit his sister. And we played paintball. Something we've never done before. Something we were excited and nervous about. You can obviously tell that I was a paintball novice. I think I asked legit questions.

Mama will text me often asking about movies to watch. I always give her the run down of what we've seen, if it was a worth a damn...yada yada yada.
First of all, I know she can't spell. She knows it too. It's just these damn smart phones makes us all so dumb sometimes :)

This one is my favorite :)

Apparently, I'm expected to comment on every single thing that my mama does on Facebook. Oh Lord no. And if I don't, this is the message I get :(

I think she's ADD. Or ADHD. In a message miles before this one, I told her to be more 'Pacific' instead of specific - just as a joke. Thirty minutes later...She gets the joke. And wants to know if I want a sister? :) Where is your head woman?!

Smart Phones

Have you noticed that our 'smart phones' make us dumber? We can easily get in contact with anyone in a flash...And yet, these are the 'important messages' that was the whole reason why text was invented? Oh Lord I hope not!

My mama isn't that stupid; she just thinks she's funny. Mostly we disagree with that, but I love this one!

I rode around North Mississippi all by myself and continued to check in with mama and my tater. Just to let them know I was safe. Or on the verge of being abducted.

Oh Chelsea. We don't text each other that much, but when we do. It's epic.

My hubby's attempt at humor. Notice how I brought the conversation back to dinner...and mashed taters.

We have yet to build this fort. Get on it Tater!
