The House Tour

 Our forever home.
In the country.
Surrounded by farms and pecan orchards.

Back in January we got a phone call about a house for sale. It was the current home owner, asking if we'd be interested in a trade...yeah. literally trading houses. We weren't even looking for a house. We spent a lot of last year pricing homes, seeing homes, pricing land, and there was nothing available that fit our needs and our budget. Then we got the phone call.

We both pretty much said no up front, but the woman BEGGED us to come see the house. I mean, why would we trade a 3 bedroom 2 bath house for a 3 bed room 3.5 bath house? It didn't make sense. But we finally relented and scheduled a time to see the house.

We were STUNNED. It was beautiful. While the home boasts the same number of bedrooms as our previous home, it's literally 3 times the size...and in the country. It was a no brainer.

After months of inspections, and appraisals, and more inspections and lots of paperwork and tons of negotiations, we finally bought our forever home.

Here she is enjoy the tour!!!

The office. My space. My quiet haven away from the loudness of my boys and my husband. It's the only finished space upstairs right now, and it's perfect for me.

The dining room. With the table that I grew up eating it. It's wonderful that my boys and I can have memories surrounding the same table.

The kitchen! In the next year, we plan on painting the walls, the cabinets, and the wood. And y'all, that's not wood paneling, that's real wood. And it's so beautiful.

The foyer is STUNNING!

The formal living/dining room is HUGE. Like beyond huge. Right now, half of the room serves as the boys playroom and the other half is daddy's piano room. So far, it's perfect for us. We are loving that the boys have their own separate space to watch TV, to play, and a separate space to contain the clutter that inevitably comes with kids.

The living room. The adult space. Where no more PJ Masks or Chuggington is watched. It's magical.

The guest bathroom.

The guest room; which is my favorite room right now.

The hall bath. Which is very grandmotherly, but I adore it. And will never change it.

Okay, so here's the master. No judgment please. We DID NOT pick the color. We do plan on painting it possibly this summer; either black or navy. Taylor has always wanted a dark bedroom and I'm 1000 percent on board!

The shared nursery. For right now, our boys will continue to room share. It's easier for us and they both seem to enjoy it and sleep better knowing their brother is next to them.

The house also has 2 other bathrooms not shown; our master and a small one in the laundry room. This house is so amazing and perfect for our growing family.

Since this is our forever home, we do plan on doing updates through the years, but have decided to take things slow. We also have an entire unfinished upstairs that we are planning on turning into 2 or 3 more bedrooms plus a bonus space for the boys.

This house fits us. It fits our family of 4 plus Norman, and could hold more children if that route is in His plan for us.

We are very blessed.
