In the Skelton household, we love Christmas. We love the time we get to spend with family and all the great food they cook for us. We love to decorate. We just flat out love Christmas.
Almost every night this month, Taylor and I bundle up, load up in the car and ride around scoping out Christmas lights. And boy have we found some this year! There are tons right here in our neighborhood and just a few miles down the road is Central Park. Every year, Southaven's Central Park closes down in late summer so that the park can be decked out in Christmas lights. And I mean decked out. It costs $10 to go see the lights, but you can stay as long as you want; money well spent. Did I mention that while riding and enjoying the lights, you set your radio to a set station and the lights and music are in unison. Pretty cool in my book. I think in a couple of years, Tay and I will be those people. The crazies with all the lights and music. I'll keep y'all updated if that adventure every comes to pass.

While Taylor and I were riding around looking at the lights, he mentions the fact that it would be great to have kids during the holidays. I told him that I agree. BUT, we wouldn't just have kids for the holidays, they would be ours permanently. He looked like a dog that I had just scolded. Like he hadn't thought the whole idea all the way through...God Bless him. He tries :) Think we'll just keep enjoying the lights kid free for a couple more years.
