So, at the end of March, I posted photos of the parent's of our soon to be puppy. The below picture was taken and sent to me by Minnie's human mama on 4/3/12. From 3/30/12 to 4/3/12, Minnie gained 15 pounds. She's steadily growing and is already past her due date (but the vet said it was totally normal since it's her first litter!)
Poor girl looks miserable :(
We know we want a male, but will take whatever we can get. And we already have some pretty good names picked out as well. My first thought as a name was Conway, since that's the city where we are getting him from. Taylor played his veto card, saying it was too redneck. I then had a light bulb moment a few days later. Do you remember Charlie Brown? Of course you do, who doesn't? Well I'm going to deduce that if you remember Charlie Brown, then you remember Snoopy, right? BUT, do you remember Snoopy's friend? The yellow little bird that was always with him? Most people can't remember his name, but I can! Woodstock! That's one name we are tossing around...aka Woody :)
Taylor's pick is Indiana. After George Lucas' dog, that was the inspiration for the name of Dr. Jones in all those Indiana Jones movies. We are thinking of the future, instead of screaming in the backyard for the dog to come in, just whistling the Indiana Jones them....Du dunt du, dunt du du...And seeing a 150 pound beast of dog charging at us full force, ears flopping, drool slinging back and forth and he barrels past us into the house straight for the water bowl and a cool place to lay down.Did I mention that I've been having puppy dreams? Yep, every night. Dreams about puppies. I then wake up happy because puppies were in my dream, but sad because we don't have ours yet. Oh dreams, what a double edged sword you are.
