My husband and I recently celebrated our one year anniversary and took an extended road trip up the Blue Ridge Parkway. The brochures definitely do not lie when they talk about the breathtaking views and the gorgeous fall colors. Words cannot describe the beauty of what surrounds you and pictures do not even come close to capturing the majestic views. But I had to give it a shot. The below shots are my feeble attempt to capture to beauty and bring it home with me.
I have always been that way. I was the kid who went to the beach and brought back sand in a bottle just so I could always have it with me.
Our vacation would not be considered a vacation if you were to ask my husband. Our views of vacation are on opposite ends of the spectrum. I like to get up early just so we can have all day to explore and spend with each other. My husband likes to sleep late and do as little as possible, I mean, it is a vacation after all :)
But I like to think that our vacation and even our getting up early paid off. We had a great trip, a wonderful anniversary, caught up with old friends, and even captured some great photos. I hope you enjoy the photos, I enjoyed taking them and my husband is still complaining about me waking him up early :)
