Maternity Leave

Hello readers!
And by that I pretty much mean family :)

I wanted to go ahead and write this post, so that there is no confusion later.

As most of you are aware, Taylor and I are expecting our first child in July and are also in the process of still currently working 3 jobs between the two us. On top of that, we have started the house hunting process 3 hours away from our current home. Our weekends are no longer ours, they belong to viewing homes and critiquing them and deciding if that one house can become our home. A lot of the homes we have seen need some work, which would mean even more added stress; our plan is to at least have a livable space for Tater Baby once he/she arrives.

That being said, I've had numerous people ask when I was going to come and do photos in the Delta. Here's I want my future and past clients to know, I love my job. It's my passion, it's my life. BUT, my child and my family are way more important. In order to ensure that I am my healthiest and so is my child, I am currently not taking any more sessions. My first availability will be in August. The entire months of April and May are currently booked and I plan on starting my maternity leave in June and continue that until August. I'm lucky enough to have an amazing husband who supports this decision, and also lucky enough to have worked really hard over the past few years to set aside enough money to enjoy a lengthy maternity leave; a well deserved maternity leave.

Having a baby is stressful enough. Moving is stressful enough. Moving in the middle of the summer with a HUGE pregnant belly is stressful enough. Starting a new career is stressful enough.
Needless to say, this is a very exciting and stressful time for us! I am trying to avoid the added stress of shooting and editing sessions. My plan is to rest as much as possible and enjoy every (screaming) minute of Tater Baby! Thank you all for understanding.

I am still booking for August 2015 and on; families, weddings, engagements and everything in between.
