Goofing off WIth the "Nifty 50"

The "Nifty 50" is an amazing little lens. And yes, the lens is little and lightweight, but it's so fun!
While on break today from the numerous mini-sessions (preview will be up tomorrow - promise!), I sat on the trunk of my car and just started goofing off with my gear.

And then I realized I could do this.
And I played and played and played.
Until the next client showed up, of course!

There's really no big secret as to how achieve this...It's a fixed lens, meaning it doesn't zoom in/out, it's fixed. The aperture ring on the camera (when attached to a camera body) must be locked in.

But, with the lens free-standing, you can open the aperture wide open, grab another camera and lens, and enjoy the fun!

Here's the shot:

I showed the picture to my sweet Tater...why is it upside down?
Hopefully y'all know the answer...
Well, do you?

It's upside down because lenses "see" things that way. The mirror built into the camera 'turns it right side up.'

You are welcome if you just learned a little something new.
