Yesterday, at six o'clock in the evening, Hallie Swayze and John exchanged wedding vows.
To say everything was beautiful would be an absolute understatement.
As in true Delta spring fashion, the weather was unpredictable.
Venues had to be changed, photo plans had to be rearranged.
But again, in true Delta fashion, nothing can stop a wedding!
I don't even think the bride and groom even noticed it was raining...they were entirely too busy being focused on each other.
I adore this couple.
For numerous reasons.
They don't hold back.
They speak their mind.
They love dogs.
They know how to throw a wedding!
After the ceremony was over, John and Hallie Swayze walked out of the church holding hands, grinning from ear to ear, and John says, as he looks at his bride, "We're 'effing' married, dude!"
Earlier in the day, John was explaining to everyone why he and Hallie Swayze were getting married.
He said that he was only getting married for two reasons: to have health insurance and to be able to sleep in the same bed when they visit Hallie Swayze's parents. Those may be the reasons he shared with us, but you can tell, when they are together, it's so much more than that.
