Well its the end of March, which means rainy ole April is upon us. Oh how I loathe the month of April. 'April showers bring May flowers,' my foot. April showers depress me because I can't get outdoors and do the things that I want to do.
But thank goodness for sunny and mild weekends; which this past weekend was. Thank the Lord!
I had one photo shoot lined up, quality time with my ladies from high school, some family time, and some Earl and Sandling time. All in all, great weekend. Aside from the 3 hour drive back to Memphis on Sunday. I loathe that as well.

I think Sandling looks a lot like my grandfather in this picture. Just standing there, watching over everything. Granted my grandfather never wore overalls a day in his life, but you get the picture. Literally :)
I love water reflections. I have no idea why, but to me, they are sort of magical. The water has to be extremely still and there are 1,000 other factors that go into taking a water reflection photo and it actually turning out. And amazingly enough, this was basically the same image taken directly out of my camera, all I did was darken the photo a wee bit, to make it look a bit more intense. Achieved? I think so.
So I tricked my mama into this picture. She's like me. When a camera is pointed in her general direction, one eye closes, a double chin emerges and the resulting photo is, well, poo. So I told her to make Sandling giggle by whatever means possible. So she starts screaming "Touchdown!" And he reaches his sweet chunky arms to Heaven. Then they started doing "High 5." And this is what I got. Perfect. Sorry mama, for tricking you, but you'll thank me one day. Right? Hopefully. :)
Did I mention that I had actual clients this weekend too? Between water reflections and Sandling, it just all seems like a blur of photos! I've never taken photos of older siblings, only babies and toddlers, this was my first experience with teenage siblings. And yes, oddly enough, they got along. I love boots. I love boots on men, women, babies, hell even dogs. So I couldn't pass up the opportunity to take this photo. Brother and sister with their boots.
And let's be honest. What's a family photo without a dog? Love it!
