Taylor works all weekend...Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Boo on that!
BUT, my twin and his wife are coming for a visit, so that should make the time pass a bit quicker. Thank the Lord for brothers :)
Once Tay finally gets to leave the hospital Monday night, we are waking up super early Tuesday and taking a road trip. A road trip to where, we are not sure yet, but we are utilizing our free time while we have it (since once he starts school in June, free time will be something of the past.)
Over the past couple of years, we have visited Atlanta several times (his sister lives there), St. Louis, D.C., THE WHOLE NATCHEZ TRACE, THE WHOLE BLUE RIDGE PARKWAY(which extends from NE Tennessee to Washington, D.C), Gulf Shores, Jamaica, Shiloh Battlefield, damn near everywhere in Arkansas, Gatlinburg and Knoxville, and everywhere in between. Maybe after this week, we can add somewhere new to the list!
For this mini-vacay, we only have a couple of days...so Gettysburg is out of the question. Damn. I mean its only 14 hours away. Drive there, see the battlefield, drive home. No thanks, we'll do that trip when we have a bit more time. That way we can soak it all in.
We thought about flying somewhere, somewhere warm, but that would use up all of our miles, and we'd like to save them for a big 'hooray Tay graduated from school trip' and for those of y'all who know us, Tay and I aren't beachy people. We are beachy in the sense that yes, we like to sit on the beach and have a cocktail and make fun of people wearing swimsuits they aren't supposed to be wearing, we don't like to be the one's getting made fun of :)
So the trip is tentatively planned for next week, February 14-17. It's a Valentine's/Birthday trip for the both of us.
I guess I'll let y'all know where we go when we figure it out!
