The below photos are a selection taken around the Mississippi Delta. The Delta is a place that cannot be described. Our streets are lined with two main things: churches and bars. Odd combination, but it works for the type of people that we are. We like to socialize and spend time with friends (and sometimes get in trouble with friends) and then we can just walk across the street and go to church. Enjoy some of the latest pics!
This picture is on the second floor of Mount Helena in Anguilla, Ms.
The front porch of Mount Helena
And this is the infamous Mount Helena. If you have never seen it in person, you are missing out and should immediately plan a trip. Its not a far drive and is totally worth it.
This is a church on Lake Washington. As you can tell, it's not much left, but it is such a special place that will touch your heart. Here's a bit of history for you: the windows of the church were taken out during the Civil War and melted down into bullets.
An old truck on the side of the road is not a rare occurrence in the Delta.
