Our good friends, The Wong's, have a sweet baby boy and they asked me to photograph his baptism. How could I ever turn that down? An opportunity to hang out with a cute baby and take pictures, I'm so there. Hunter is loved by his mama and daddy and also by his extended family. The Wong's house was packed full of people after the service, all there to celebrate the little Asian wonder...Daddy is Chinese, Mama is not. Chinese genes won. As they tend to do.
Taylor and I call Hunter 'Short Round.' Yes. As in the character from Indiana Jones. "You cheat Dr. Jones, you cheat!" Mama and Daddy don't mind, they think it's funny. When he was still incubating, we called him Spring Roll because we call his Daddy Eggroll. We aren't insensitive people. We checked with the Wongs. Thank God they have a sense of humor too!
Hunter acted like an angel on his baptism day. Is that cliche? Well, he did. Cliche or not. We was looking around the whole time, making those sweet baby noises. Once the service was over, we all went back to the Wong household to celebrate and baby Hunter was out. I mean out. When he finally woke up from his nap, it was a family frenzy of, 'I want to hold him,' 'No, I do!' Thank kid is loved more than he'll ever know.
This is my favorite pic from the day. It looks like they are being carefully watched as leaving the church.
