Leighton + James {Mississippi Delta Engagement Photographer}

I love engagement photos. And I love these two! They were so easy-going and fun. Any inane request I came up with, they happily obliged - walking through a bug filled bean field, climbing on tractors, etc...It makes things so much easier when the bride to be is calm and trusts me with their photos, instead of constantly directing me.

Leighton contacted me last Christmas about doing her wedding this year. I was on vacation (Disney World!!) at the time and honestly couldn't believe that someone was booking their wedding almost a year in advance. That says something about this girl - She's a planner. And we all know that I love planners.

We were both worried about the Mississippi heat in late August, but with both of our crazy schedules, this was the only time we could get them done. I swear God smiled on us that morning. It was cool and cloudy, just perfect. The minute we got done shooting, and I got all the gear packed in the car, a torrential downpour started. And didn't let up till the next morning.

Thank God for early morning shoots!

Of course, once I left the session location, I got on the highway and heard the loudest pop. I know that familiar sound all too well. I had a flat. I quickly jumped out and inspected the tire, thinking I could make it to town - nope. It was beyond flat.

So after hanging out with a sweet couple, my day went downhill drastically, and I had to change the tire in the rain. Thank God for the twin brother who showed up to help!

And that's me, in the pouring rain, changing a flat, while ants crawled into my britches and shirt. No joke. That's a whole new definition of miserable.

And now, the whole reason you stopped by this blog of mine - the preview!!
November is rapidly approaching, and I couldn't be more thrilled that these two trust me to document their wedding day!
