I normally hate meeting a bride on their wedding day...will we click? Do we have the same vision for their wedding? Etc...But meeting Megan for the first time was a breeze. Seriously simple. We introduced ourselves and then went right back to business. And then shared stories and photos of our babies...and by babies, I, of course, mean our animals. They have Gus Gus and I have Norman.
And guys, they deserve a medal. They planned this wedding from Utah. And family played a big part in the planning. And everything was perfect. The food was amazing. I may or may have ducked into the kitchen and ate two pieces of red velvet cake. It was that good. I could have eaten more, but I did have a wedding and reception to photograph.
Kirk's never been serious a day in his life. He's got this personality that automatically greets you upon meeting him; and it cannot be described, you just have to know him. While taking some photos of the newlyweds, Megan walked ahead while Kirk and I walked a bit slower, and he said the sweetest thing (for him anyway), "I don't know what I did to get her, but it's too late now, she's stuck with me. Eventually she'll realize I'm just a screw up."
And now, for some random things (over)heard on wedding day:
- The word beverage was tossed around a lot. Sadly, I could not partake :(
"Would you like a beverage?"
"I'm going to get another beverage."
"I think someone's had too many beverages."
- Kirk is just the nicest young man. Wait, do you even know Kirk?
- Does anybody know what a pocket square is? Or how to make them?!
Google saved the day on that one. I cannot follow instructions, especially video instructions, because everything is reversed and my brain doesn't function that way.
Enjoy their preview!
