Burnham {Mississippi Delta Newborn Photography}

For me, shooting newborns is always a challenge. Let's be honest, I prefer the older babes with a few more leg rolls and head control. I'm always a ball of stress at photo sessions anyway, but throw in a newborn + new parents and it's all out chaos (in my head).

Parents are trusting me to document their little one so that when they aren't so little, they can look back fondly at just how tiny they were. Now do you see why I am a stress ball? 

But once this sweet little family arrived, my stress ball turned into a happy ball. Sweet little Lyla could not have been more perfect. She was exactly what you look forward to in photographing newborns: calm and quiet, and full of facial expressions. And just generally happy.

I was totally OK with that.
